Horned Frogs Falter to No. 4 Texas
FORT WORTH, Texas – The largest crowd of the season was on hand on Saturday afternoon as the No. 10 TCU men's tennis team took on conference foe and No. 4 Texas but fell just short as the Longhorns took the 6-1 victory at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.

Doubles was all the Horned Frogs (16-5, 1-2 Big 12) as TCU racked up wins at the top two spots to get the early 1-0 lead over the Longhorns (20-2, 3-0 Big 12). The No. 45 pair of Alastair Gray and Alex Rybakov picked up their biggest win of the season as the duo kicked things off with a 6-4 win over the No. 3 ranked pairing of Harrison Scott and Christian Sigsgaard. A mere 20 seconds later, the No. 13 pair of Bertus Kruger and Reese Stalder finished it off for the Frogs with a 6-3 win of their own on court two.

Texas proved its ranking in singles action as the Longhorns battled back on all six courts and took the opening set on five of them. While TCU continued to battle and forced third sets on four of the courts, Texas ultimately came out on top and won all six matches to secure the overall team victory.

Quotes from the Match
Head Coach David Roditi
"I give credit to Texas and their coaches for putting together such a good and deep lineup out there. There aren't any weak spots in that lineup. They came to our home and took every singles match. Four of them went to three sets and they wouldn't let us have anything. This will make us better. They totally deserved this win and we need to come back on Monday night against Texas A&M and show our fans and ourselves what we are made off. The level out-there today was very good and just not good enough on our part. The big winner besides Texas was college tennis. What an awesome experience for all fans. Thank you for supporting us and comeback on Monday night. We need you and we need you loud."
