GoFrogs: TCU Drops Season Finale vs No. 2 Baylor

FORT WORTH – No. 6 TCU men's tennis (15-6, 4-1) suffered its lone defeat of the Big 12 Conference season at the hands of No. 2 Baylor on Sunday afternoon at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center in Fort Worth.

With this result, TCU will share the Big 12 regular-season conference title with Baylor and Texas. This is the fourth conference title for TCU in the last five completed seasons.

"This was not the way we wanted to play," head coach David Roditi said. "Obviously it was a disappointing day. Not the way we wanted it to go for us, for our fans and for the title. We'll need to look back and look at the way we prepared. From the very beginning Baylor was more energetic and aggressive than we were. Credit to Baylor and congratulations to them and Texas for their share of the title. We'll go to the Big 12 tournament next week and see what we learned from this. We'll get ourselves a little bit healthier, get us in the right place and be ready to continue the postseason. I'm proud of our team, they left it all out there. We just couldn't do it today. We've had a great season so far and we just have to finish strong this weekend in Waco. I really appreciate all the fans and our friends and families that came out and supported us today. I wish it could have been a better result but I can't complain about our effort. Go Frogs!"
