Game flow was different. St Francis only trailed OU by one at half, got outscored by 37 pts in the second half

Just finished watching the game, had to cover a high school game tonight.
I said it Tuesday night and I'll say it again tonight I like the way Tanner Toolson plays. He is not afraid out there when he gets the ball and he has some nice moves in the paint.

St. Francis has about 2000 students (only 1400 traditional undergrads) and is moving to Division 3 athletics next summer.

Saint Francis University Announces Move from NCAA Division I Athletics to Division III Athletics

"The governance associated with intercollegiate athletics has always been complicated and is only growing in complexity based on realities like the transfer portal, pay-for-play, and other shifts that move athletics away from love of the game. For that reason, as a Board, we aim to best provide resources and support to our student-athletes in this changing environment that aligns with our mission, Catholic institution, and our community's expectations."
….
"The Board and I have been concerned about the student-athlete experience for many years. The geography of our conference is huge. Our students travel either to Chicago or to Boston or to points in between. That's a lot of time not spent on campus, developing friendships or in the classroom. This change allows our students to be present on campus and lets their friends attend more of their home and away games. This decision is about creating and maintaining community and allowing our student-athletes to thrive in the classroom and their chosen sport."

Back in 1983, Seattle U. went from NCAA 1 to NAIA 2. Too many of their players were being paid, and Father Bill Sullivan, the President, said enough.

We need to dump the two PG lineup unless we are in a late game situation. Our best players are wings, and playing 2 PG just takes one of them off the court. Robinson and Toolsen need to be getting lots of minutes. Posey looked decent in his short stints yesterday too.
Agree. Neither looks real comfortable when both out there spacing wise.

Thats dixon offense... hes never used a big guy other than to set screens
Agree. I like being forced to play Punch and Edmonds who looked great together.

Having a team of people who can both score AND shoot free throws is something new and exciting. Missing free throws is a demoralizer...conversely, making them is a confidence booster and I think we saw confidence grow as the game went on.

I made the same comment. Toolson would look great in the starting lineup as the two and Pierre would be fine off the bench to work with our strong bench players.

Edmonds is a great addition out there. Kind of guy that is a physical presence and won’t back down.
