FORT WORTH – Wimbledon has unofficially become the home Slam of TCU men's tennis.

On Wednesday, Jack Pinnington and Lui Maxted were each awarded a wild card onto the main draw of The Championships, Wimbledon 2025, by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA).

Pinnington received a wild card in singles while Maxted secured his ticket to London in doubles.

Their selections give the Horned Frogs four confirmed participants at the sport's most storied event. Fellow program alumni Jake Fearnley and Cam Norrie received direct entry in singles on the strength of their respective ATP rankings of No. 49 and No. 60.

TCU has sent six current or graduated players to Wimbledon since 2022, all of whom earned All-American honors during their tenures as Frogs. Alastair Gray won an opening round singles match in 2022. Reese Stalder competed in the doubles draw in each of the last two seasons and reached the round of 16 in 2023.

The Horned Frogs have now placed multiple players on the Wimbledon main draw in three straight years and five times since 1991.

Pinnington earned his second consecutive Wimbledon wild card. He and Fearnley played doubles together at the 2024 Championships. Pinnington positioned himself for a main draw invite via a defining performance at the Lexus Ilkley Open during the week of June 9-15. He reached his first ATP Challenger level final on Sunday after defeating two ATP top-150 players in the earlier rounds. Pinnington achieved a career-high world ranking of No. 282 following his run to the championship.

Maxted is set to debut at the All England Club, where he will partner with Connor Thomson. The four-time national champion formed the nation's No. 1 ranked doubles team with Pedro Vives in 2024-25. The senior duo won the NCAA Doubles Championship in November. Maxted compiled a 179-66 career combined record across his four seasons on the purple courts, highlighted by a 65-17 mark this past year. He ranks eighth in program history in career combined winning percentage (.731).

Pinnington, Maxted and Fearnley's legacies personify TCU tennis' golden era. The trio were teammates from 2022-24. They led TCU its first NCAA Championship in 2024 as well as a repeat ITA Indoor National Championship and 2023. Fearnley and Maxted delivered TCU its first national title in 2022 when the program claimed the crown at Indoor Nationals. Maxted is one of only two four-time national champions in program history alongside Vives.

The Championship 2025 will be played over 14 days from June 30-July 13. The draw will be unveiled on June 27.

All Wimbledon matches will air on ESPN and ESPN+ across the United States and on Sky Sports in Great Britain.
