GoFrogs: Horned Frogs Schedule Marquee Home Matchup vs. NC State

FORT WORTH – For the first time in TCU's Big 12 era, a reigning Final Four participant will visit Schollmaier Arena in nonconference play.

TCU will host NC State on Sunday, Nov. 17, part of a home-and-home agreement that sends the Horned Frogs to Raleigh in 2025-26.

"I can't think of a better way to headline our home nonconference schedule," said TCU head coach Mark Campbell. "Games like this are fun for both our players and fans, and it will be a great test as we measure our program against one of the nation's elite teams. We are anticipating a sold out Schollmaier Arena crowd and will work tirelessly to deliver a production and performance our fans and program alumni will be proud of."

The Horned Frogs now have two confirmed matchups with NCAA semifinalists on their 2024-25 schedule. TCU makes the three-mile stroll down University Dr. on Dec. 8 for a visit to Dickies Arena to face reigning National Champion South Carolina.

This will be the third instance in which TCU welcomes a reigning Final Four team to campus. The Horned Frogs hosted Tennessee in 2000 and 2004 following a pair of semifinal runs by the Lady Vols.

TCU returns 96 percent of its scoring production from a 2023-24 squad that was one of only two teams to finish the season ranked in the top-10 nationally in 3-pointers, 3-point percentage and 3-point percentage differential. Supplementing an offensive core that averaged 80.5 points per game are the arrivals of Olympics bronze medalist Hailey Van Lith, All-Pac-12 guard Donovyn Hunter and NCAA Tournament veterans Taylor Bigby and Maddie Scherr.

NC State reached its first Final Four since 1998 last season, finishing with a 31-7 overall record.

Tipoff time and broadcast specifications for the game will be announced at a later date.

TCU's first competition date is Nov. 5, and the program anticipates unveiling its complete nonconference schedule in the coming weeks.

Season ticket renewals are ongoing and single-game general admission sales will be made available soon. Contact TCU Ticket Sales at 817-257-1849 for more information.

Gotta hand it to Coach Campbell, that takes guts to schedule the defending national champs and a a semi-finalist in non-conference in the same season. He’s done a remarkable job hyping up this program. Honestly can’t recall this much excitement around the women’s team maybe ever.
