Horned Frogs head to Morgantown for critical Big 12 showdown
FORT WORTH – TCU will play three of its next four games away from home, starting Wednesday when the 10th-ranked Horned Frogs head to Appalachia to face West Virginia.
The midweek matchup in Morgantown is an important game relative to the race for the Big 12 championship. Both TCU and West Virginia enter with 4-1 conference records and are a part of a four-way tie for second place in the league standings. The teams will rematch on Feb. 15 in Fort Worth.
Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. CT on ESPN+.

- TCU has won 13 of its last 14 games and four of five on the road vs. Big 12 foes dating back to Feb. 5, 2025.
- TCU is squaring off with West Virginia as an AP Top 10 team for the third straight game.
- West Virginia is one of only two teams to twice defeat TCU in the Mark Campbell era. Both of those wins came in 2024 in the aftermath of a rash of injuries that forced TCU to hold open tryouts. TCU had just seven healthy scholarship players in both games.
- TCU is searching for its first win in Morgantown since March 7, 2020.

- The Frogs have been the Big 12's highest-rated team in the AP Top 25, USA Today Sports Coaches Poll (No. 9) and NCAA Net Rankings (No. 9) in eight of the last nine weeks.
- TCU's average margin of victory vs. the Big 12 over the last two seasons is 16.5 points.
- TCU has outscored its opponent in the paint in every game. Forty-eight percent of the Horned Frogs' total offensive output (682 points) has come via points in the paint.
- Moreover, the Frogs have finished with the edge in 3-pointers and points in the paint in 15-of-17 games.
- TCU is among of a handful of outfits in the country getting it done at an elite level on both sides of the ball. TCU is one of three teams shooting it better than 49 percent from the field while holding opponents below a 33 percent clip. The others are No. 2 South Carolina and No. 6 LSU.
- The Horned Frogs rank second and third, respectively, among all D1 teams in field goal percentage defense (.312) and scoring defense (52.1 ppg).

- Miles, Suarez and Silva are the only teammate trio in the country averaging at least 10 points and six rebounds per game while shooting better than 50 percent from the floor.
- All three players have scored in double figures in each of TCU's last seven games.
- Either Miles, Silva or Suarez have led TCU on the boards in every game.
- TCU is the only team in the country with five players who have knocked down at least 20 threes this season; Suarez (41), Hunter (34), Miles (28), Scherr (26) and Taylor Bigby (24).
- The five players are responsible for 91 percent of TCU's total 3-point offense (153-168). The quintet is averaging 9.1 threes per game.
- In 11 of TCU's 17 games, Suarez, Hunter, Miles, Scherr and Bigby have combined to connect at least eight times from distance.

Combined with Miles, who's season assist-to-turnover ration stands at 2.17, TCU is the only team in the country with three players boasting assist-to-turnover ratios of at least 2-1.
- TCU ranks fifth in the country in scoring margin (+32.2). All-but-one of the Horned Frogs' wins have been by double figures.
- The Horned Frogs have led at halftime in 42 of their last 44 ballgames and in 26 straight vs. Big 12 foes. Both of TCU's halftime leads over WVU last season were by at least 15 points.
