GoFrogs: Horned Frogs Come Up Just Short at #11 Texas A&M
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – TCU's Lauren Heard scored 21 points and Kianna Ray chipped in with 20 points, but it was not enough as the No. 11-ranked Texas A&M Aggies needed the entire 40 minutes to defeat the Horned Frogs, 70-68, Wednesday evening at Reed Arena.

Heard scored 20-plus points in her third straight game, while Ray notched 20 points for the first time this season. With the loss TCU falls for the first time on the season and move to 7-1 overall. The Aggies moved to 8-1 on the season with the victory.

THE RUNDOWN
Texas A&M led by as many as seven points in the first half, but TCU stormed back to notch things up at 34-34 at halftime. The Horned Frogs scored the first four points of the third quarter and led by as many as five points, up 64-59 late in the fourth period.

TCU was up 66-63 with less than 1:30 to play, but TAMU's Chennedy Carter scored her squad's final seven points, which included the game-winning lay-up with three seconds to play.

Carter put the Aggies up 68-66 with a bucket at the 32 second mark and Jayde Woods later tied the game at 68-68 on a shot with 12 seconds to play. TAMU called a timeout and designed a play for Carter, which she scored on with three seconds to go. TCU called its final timeout, but the inbounds play came up short and the Aggies managed to escape Reed Arena with the win.

UP NEXT
TCU returns home this Sunday, Dec. 15, to host Ohio in non-conference action. Tip-off between the Horned Frogs and Bobcats is set for 2 p.m. at Schollmaier Arena.
