FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU will put the finishing touches on its regular season Wednesday with a home contest against Air Force at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. and will mark the final home game for seniors, Emily Carter, Micah Garoutte, Rachel Rentschler and Helena Sverrisdottir.

The Horned Frogs come into Wednesday's tilt with a 20-9 overall record and a 12-3 mark in the Mountain West Conference. The Frogs currently sit No. 2 in the MWC standings and will be guaranteed at least a No. 2 seed in the upcoming MWC Conference Tournament with a victory Wednesday.

TCU is coming off an 84-71 victory at New Mexico. The Frogs won for only the second time ever in program history at the Lobos' historic Pit.

The Last Time Out
Emily Carter and Helena Sverrisdottir both scored over 20 points last Saturday in leading TCU to an 84-71 decision over New Mexico at the Pit.

The Frogs were led by Sverrisdottir who scored a game-high 24 points on 6-of-11 shooting, including 4-of-7 from deep. Carter chipped in with 22 points, going 9-of-13 from the field and 4-of-6 from behind the three-point arc. Fellow senior Rachel Rentschler was the only other Frog in double-figures with a season-high 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting.

The physical contest, which featured nine ties and nine lead changes, was played behind the three-point arc Saturday. The two teams combined to make 26 three's, which ties the previous MWC record for most combined triples made in a single-game. TCU and Iowa State combined to make 26 three's earlier this season at the Paradise Jam.

The Frogs, who shot 54.5 percent from the field Saturday, went 12-of-21 from deep for 57.1 percent, which ranks No. 9 all-time in 3-point field goal percentage in a single-game in program history.

Game No. 1 Versus Air Force
Sophomore Starr Crawford recorded her fifth double-double of the season, but Air Force upended TCU earlier this year, 60-55, at the Falcons' Clune Arena.

Crawford netted a game-high 19 points on 6-of-13 shooting from the floor, while also grabbing a game-high 12 boards. The sophomore, who tied a career-best in points, went 7-of-11 from the charity stripe. Senior Emily Carter was the only other Frog in double-figures with 16 points.

Overall, Air Force, who trailed by as many as 11 during the first meeting, shot 37 percent from the floor.

The Air Force Series
TCU and Air Force will be meeting for the 18th time in program history Wednesday. The Horned Frogs had won 15-straight in the series before falling, 55-60, earlier this year.

Overall, the Falcons have never defeated TCU at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum, while the Purple and White lead the series, 15-2.

In Fort Worth last season, the Frogs put together one of their best offensive performances of the season, finishing the game shooting 51.9 percent from the field overall, including 6-of-13 from beyond the arc, en route to a 77-47 victory at the DMC.

Scouting Air Force
Air Force comes into Wednesday's contest with an 8-19 mark overall and 3-11 ledger during the conference season.

In their last outing, the Falcons dropped a 70-49 contest to Colorado State. Senior Raimee Beck and sophomore Dymond James led the way with 13 points apiece, respectively.

Beck is averaging 11.4 points per game this season, while James has chipped in with 11.0 points and 6.8 boards.

The Final Ending
Wednesday night's game will mark the final home game for Emily Carter, Micah Garoutte, Rachel Rentschler and Helena Sverrisdottir. The quartet has played in two NCAA Tournaments and won a total of 85 games during their time in Fort Worth, which ranks No. 6 all-time in four-year win totals. The group also helped the Frogs capture the program's first Mountain West Conference Regular Season Championship last season.

Where They Rank
This senior class currently ranks No. 6 all-time in wins for a class with 85 wins. The top-10 senior classes have all come during the Jeff Mittie era with the 2003-04 senior class leading the pack with 94 victories. If the Horned Frogs win Wednesday night, they will move into a tie for No. 5 all-time with the 2008 and 2010 senior classes.

A Closer Look At The Conference Tournament
The Frogs currently sit No. 2 in the MWC standings and will be guaranteed at least a No. 2 seed in the upcoming MWC Conference Tournament with a victory over Air Force.

If the Purple and White were to lose Wednesday, it would need Wyoming to fall in one of its final two regular-season games to hold onto the No. 2 spot.

TCU still has an outside shot of claiming a share of the regular-season championship and the No. 1 seed in the MWC Tournament. For that to happen, BYU would have to drop both of its remaining two games.

Triple The Trouble
Last week against Utah, TCU saw Helena Sverrisdottir, Emily Carter and Starr Crawford all score in double-figures. When all three post double-digit scoring games its a good sign for TCU as the Frogs are 9-2 on the season, including 5-0 in MWC play. The Horned Frogs' only losses in the 11 games came at the hands of Virginia (55-59) and nationally ranked Georgia (57-60).

TCU Scoring Off Turnovers A Must
The Horned Frogs have won the points-off-turnovers battle nine times during conference play. TCU's record when it scores more points-off-turnovers then its opponent, 9-0. During all three conference losses, the Frogs haven't. Overall, TCU's only victories when loosing the points-off turnovers battle have been to San Diego State, UNLV and Utah.

• The three losses : UNM (7-15), AFA (19-21), BYU (7-15).

Taking Care Of The Rock
Senior Helena Sverrisdottir, the MWC Player of the Week this week, has been steady with the ball in her hands as of late. Not only has she only had nine turnovers, but the Iceland native has tallied 37 assists. She has also scored in double-figures in six out of the last seven contests, including a 24-point performance against New Mexico last Saturday.

Scoring In The Paint Important For TCU Success
The Frogs outscored UNM in the paint Saturday, 24-12, which now marks the sixth time in seven games in which TCU had dominated down low. During conference play, TCU has outscored its opponent down low in 11 of the 15 contests.

The four games in which the Frogs were either tied with or outscored by their opponent in the paint were BYU (14-30), New Mexico (18-24), Air Force (24-24) and BYU (18-20). TCU's record during those contests, 1-3, with the first meeting with BYU being the lone victory.

Headlines To Look At
When TCU takes on Air Force, it will look to continue some impressive numbers. During the Jeff Mittie era, the Frogs are now 216-29 when leading at the half. TCU, who is 16-2 this season when leading at the half, is also 124-3 when leading by 10+ at the half.

Overall, when the Frogs score 80+ points in regulation, TCU is 76-1 under Mittie. The Frogs are also 164-9 when the opponent scores 60 or less, which has now happened 18 times this season.
