OKLAHOMA CITY -- TCU opens play as the No. 5 seed at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship when it takes on No. 4 seed Oklahoma in the tournament's first quarterfinal at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

TCU (18-11, 9-9) and Oklahoma (16-13, 11-7) split their season series with each home team winning. Oklahoma won, 84-71, in Norman on Jan. 4, despite TCU leading after three quarters. TCU then won, 62-58, in Fort Worth on Jan. 27, despite Oklahoma leading after three quarters.

Both teams enter after dropping their regular-season finale on the road. TCU fell at No. 23 Oklahoma State on Monday while Oklahoma lost at No. 7 Texas on Tuesday. The Sooners finished in a tie for third place in the Big 12 standings, but lost the tiebreaker due to their two losses to Oklahoma State.

3-Pointers
1. TCU is 1-5 all-time at the Big 12 Championship with its lone win coming in the 2014 first round against Texas Tech. The Frogs have never advanced past the Big 12 quarterfinals. They last played in a conference tournament semifinal in 2011 at the Mountain West Tournament. TCU earned a bye directly into that semifinal, meaning the Frogs last won a quarterfinal game in 2008 at the Mountain West Tournament.

2. TCU had three players earn All-Big 12 honors when the league office announced its annual awards on Wednesday. Amy Okonkwoearned the Big 12 Sixth Man Award and was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team. Jordan Moore and Kianna Ray both earned All-Big 12 Honorable Mention. The Frogs had three different players earn awards for just the second time since joining the Big 12.

3. TCU's nine conference wins this season was tied for its most since joining the Big 12. The Frogs' 18 wins also tied for their most since joining the conference. A 19th win would mark TCU's most since winning 22 games in 2010-11.

Scouting Oklahoma
Oklahoma is 7-3 in its last 10 games with the losses coming at TCU (Jan. 27), at Baylor (Feb. 5) and at Texas (Feb. 27). The Sooners most recent game was the 79-66 loss at Texas on Tuesday.

The Sooners starting five all average over 12.0 points per game and all earned some form of All-Big 12 honor. Vionise Pierre-Louis is the leader at 16.0 points and 8.8 rebounds per game and was a first-team selection. Shaina Pellington was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Year and averages 12.8 points per game.

The Series
Oklahoma leads the all-time series, 22-5, including a 10-2 mark since the Frogs joined the Big 12 in 2012-13. The Frogs and Sooners have never met in the Big 12 Championships or on a neutral court.

TCU is 1-7 against the Sooners with the lone win coming in Fort Worth on Jan. 27 in their most recent meeting.
