AUSTIN, Texas – Michelle Berry set a new career-high with four three-pointers made, but her team-leading 14 points and seven rebounds were not enough in a 71-54 Big 12 Conference road loss at Texas Wednesday night at Frank Erwin Center.
TURNING POINT
TCU used a 7-0 run to take a five-point lead in the first quarter, but Texas countered with a 7-2 run to close the frame and then outscored the Horned Frogs 22-10 in the second quarter. Texas led by as many as 18 points in both the third and fourth quarters, and TCU managed to only get back within 12 points of the Longhorns down the stretch.
Berry scored eight of her 14 points in the third quarter, but Texas' Charli Collier proved to be too much, notching her ninth double-double of the season with 23 points and 20 rebounds.

• TCU started Caroline Germond, Aahliyah Jackson, Yummy Morris, Lauren Heard and Michelle Berry for the for the second straight game and fifth time overall this season. TCU is now 3-2 on the season with this starting line-up.
• Berry came within a point of her season-high, while her four-three-pointers surpassed her previous season/career-high of three made in a game.
• Lauren Heard finished the game with two assists. She now has 348 assists in her career, moving up to No. 7 in school history, and surpassing Moneka Knight (347, 2004-08).
• Heard also posted a team-best three steals in the game.
