IRVING, Texas -- For the fourth time this season, TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin has been named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week.
Boykin totaled a career-high 559 yards of offense to go with five touchdowns in the Horned Frogs' 55-3 win over Iowa State, giving TCU its first Big 12 championship in just its third season in the conference.
A junior from Dallas, Boykin had a career-best 460 yards passing and four touchdowns while adding a 55-yard receiving touchdown and 44 yards rushing.
The four touchdown passes gave Boykin a TCU single-season record of 30, breaking the previous mark of 27 set by Andy Dalton in 2010.
Boykin's 559 yards of offense marked the second-best total in TCU history, while his 460 yards passing placed third for a single-game all-time for the Horned Frogs.
TCU will face Ole Miss in the Dec. 31 Chick-fil-A Bowl in Atlanta.
