GoFrogs: Big Fourth Inning Leads TCU Past Oklahoma
OKLAHOMA CITY – TCU exploded for 14 runs in the fourth inning en route to a 15-3 victory over Oklahoma in an elimination game at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Tournament Thursday afternoon. Johnny Rizer, Josh Watson and Zach Humphreys homered for the Horned Frogs.

The Rundown
Charles King (5-3) faced a lot of traffic on the bases in the first three innings, but only allowed one run as the defense turned a pair of inning-ending double plays in the second and third. He finished the game allowing just the one run on seven hits in 5 2/3 innings of work.

The offense came to live in the fourth as the Frogs batted around twice and scored 14 times on 11 hits. Of the 11 hits, seven went for extra bases.

Josh Watson got the inning started with a double. Johnny Rizer gave the Frogs the lead with his 10thhome run. After an Austin Henry double, Conner Shepherd tripled and Zach Humphreys singled to make it a 4-1 ballgame.

With one out and the bases loaded, Watson jumped on the first pitch he saw and deposited it into the Oklahoma bullpen for a grand slam and a 9-1 lead. Rizer followed with a walk, moved to second on a wild pitch and scored on a Shepherd base hit. Humphreys launched a 2-run shot to make it 12-1.

After an Andrew Keefer walk, Bobby Goodloe singled. Adam Oviedo drove in both base runners with the Frogs' second triple of the afternoon and a 14-1 lead.

TCU added a run in the fifth as Rizer scored on a fielder's choice off the bat of Humphreys.

Oklahoma got a pair of runs in the seventh, but Augie Mihlbauer shut the door to close out the win.
