Preview: at Big 12 Tournament​

Frogs will play the winner of Utah/Kansas State

SURPRISE, Ariz. –
TCU's journey in the Big 12 Tournament presented at Allstate begins Wednesday night against either No. 10 Utah or No. 11 Kansas State. TCU is the tournament's No. 7 seed. First pitch for the game is slated for 10 p.m. (CT) at Surprise Stadium. The entire tournament will be streamed on the ESPN app.

TCU NOTABLES
• TCU went 1-2 in its final regular season series at West Virginia.
• TCU recorded its fifth shutout of the season in Game 2 behind a dominating complete game pitching performance from Lance Davis.
• The five shutouts are tied for 17th nationally and are the most for a squad since 2018.
• The Frogs have 19 comeback wins this season, 11 of which have seen the Frogs trail by multiple runs.
• TCU moved up five spots to 39 in the latest RPI report.
• TCU has tallied 45 home runs over the last 29 games, bringing its season total to 68, a mark that is seventh in the Big 12.
• TCU ranks 13th nationally with 48 double plays turned.
• TCU has 57 extra base hits (33 doubles, two triples and 22 home runs) in the last 15 games.
Lance Davis became the first pitcher since Preston Morrison in 2014 to past two straight complete games.

INSIDE THE TOURNAMENT
• TCU's side of the bracket features No. 2 West Virginia, No. 3 Arizona State, No. 6 Cincinnati, No. 10 Utah and No. 11 Kansas State.
• TCU played Utha (3-0) at home, West Virginia (1-2), Arizona State (1-2) and Kansas State (2-1) on the road and did not face Cincinnati.
• TCU is 7-5 against its side of the bracket this year.
• The other side features No. 1 Kansas (1-0 in a home midweek), No. 4 UCF (1-2), No. 5 Oklahoma State (0-3), No. 8 Baylor (2-1), No. 9 BYU (did not play) and No. 12 Texas Tech (3-0).
