GoFrogs: Beach Volleyball downs No. 13 South Carolina and sweeps ULM
Tallahassee, Fla. – The 16th ranked TCU beach volleyball team defeated no. 13 South Carolina and Louisiana Monroe on the second day of the Seminole Beach Bash hosted by Florida State.
TCU began the day by knocking off South Carolina 3-2. Daniela Alvarez and Olivia Beyer started off strong, winning their match in two sets. Taylor Bradley and Trinity Cavanaugh rallied back from an early deficit to send their match into a third set, eventually earning the point for TCU, tying the match at 2-2. Haven Hill and Jordan Westendorff secured the point and the 3-2 victory for the Frogs in the third set.
TCU swept ULM 5-0 in the afternoon, earning a 2-0 record on the day. Alavarez and Beyer again led the Frogs to their first point of the match with a decisive 21-13, 21-12 victory. For the second time of the day, Hill and Westendorff's point secured the victory for TCU, continuing the undefeated streak against ULM. Bradley and Cavanaugh battled it out on the second court, going into three sets. Their pair victory secured the 5-0 sweep for the Frogs.
