GoFrogs: TCU Defeats No. 17 Arizona, Missouri State
FORT WORTH – The 16th ranked TCU beach volleyball team earned a pair of victories on its home sand Saturday afternoon, defeating Missouri State, 5-0, and No. 17 Arizona, 4-1.
THE RUNDOWN
The Horned Frogs started the day with a 5-0 win over Missouri State. All but one match was finished in two sets as TCU flexed its muscles on the visiting Bears. The No. 1 pairing of Taylor Bradley and Olivia Beyer continued their strong play with a 21-14, 21-17 result. The win improves their record as a pair to 6-0 this season. Victoria McDonald played with Haven Hill at No. 2 and showed no signs of strife, earning a decisive win to help TCU clinch the win. TCU improves to 4-0 this season against non-Power 5 schools at home.
In the second match of the day, TCU took on No. 17 Arizona. The Horned Frogs claimed the first two matches at No. 4 and No. 5 in convincing fashion, including a 21-7 first set win from Hayley Boll and Trinity Cavanaugh. In the second round of matches, TCU utilized Daniela Alvarez and Beyer in the No. 1 spot. The duo responded after a three-set loss to LSU the day before with a resounding 21-14, 21-17 victory to help TCU achieve its first victory over Arizona on the beach.

The Horned Frogs hit the road for five matches over spring break. TCU will play three matches on Tuesday, March 10, in Atlanta, against Georgia State, Mercer and North Florida. TCU finishes the week against Coastal Carolina and College of Charleston on Friday, March 13, in Conway, S.C.
