WASHINGTON D.C. - A late surge helped TCU secure an 80-73 win at Georgetown on Saturday at Capital One Arena.

TCU (9-1) won its sixth-straight game, its longest win streak in three seasons. Georgetown (6-5) snapped a three-game win streak.

TCU drained a season-high 11 3-pointers and had three from three different players. Mike Miles finished with 20 points, which included 3-of-6 from 3-point range, after battling foul trouble in the first half. He also had a team-high five assists to go with six rebounds. Chuck O'Bannon had 15 points (3-of-6 from three), all in the first half. All of Damion Baugh's nine points came from deep as he was 3-of-4 from beyond-the-arc.

The Horned Frogs led by seven, 30-23, with just under five minutes left in the first half. The Hoyas responded with nine unanswered points to take a 32-30 lead before Francisco Farabello ended it with a 3-pointer. TCU led 39-36 at the half.

TCU missed its first eight shots of the second half as Georgetown took a 44-41 lead. Miles connected for a layup and then 3-pointer to tie the game 46-46 with under 15 minutes to play. Seven more lead changes took place. The Frogs made 7-of-8 field goals to stretch the lead at 73-64, their largest of the game, with just over four minutes to play.

For the second-straight game, TCU made its free throws down the stretch. The Frogs made 5-of-6 in the final 32 seconds.

TCU will next be in action on Tuesday at 7 p.m. when it hosts Grambling State. It will be shown on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.

TCU led 39-36 at the half. TCU missed its first eight shots of the second half as Georgetown took a 44-41 lead”. We scored 2 points without taking a shot? That’s badass.
