FORT WORTH -- No. 3 TCU scored five in the third and never looked back en route to a 6-2 victory over UC Irvine Saturday afternoon. Three Horned Frogs registered multi-hit games in the victory.

The Rundown
Nick Lodolo (3-0) was dominate in his six innings of work. He allowed two runs (one earned) on seven hits, walked two and struck out a career-high 10 batters. James Notary, Cal Coughlin and Durbin Feltman pitched three shutout innings out of the bullpen to seal up the victory.

UC Irvine took the early lead with a run in the third. A lead-off single eventually came around to score on a ground out off the bat of Jacob Castro.

TCU wasted little time getting the lead as it took advantage of two Anteater errors in the bottom of the third. Danny Crews opened the frame with his first career hit, a double down the left field line. Two batters later the bases were loaded. Luken Bakergave the Frogs a 2-1 lead with a base hit to center. RBIs from Josh Watson, Michael Landestoy and A.J. Balta extended the lead to four, 5-1.

The Frogs added a two-out run in the fifth. Watson started the two-out rally with a base hit. Landestory followed with an infield single. Balta picked up his second RBI of the game with a base hit to left center.

A solo home run in the sixth from Parker Coss pulled the Anteaters within four, 6-2. They looked poised to pull closer with back-to-back singles in the eighth, but Coughlin came on and got a double play ball to squelch the rally.
