ASU/OSU came on after us.

It was hilarious; there was an infield fly that OSU needed the rule for. Dropped it; the announcers were not surprised.

Gotta question his swing. I really pull for this kid, but that massive looping swing against sliders is a strikeout waiting to happen. Honestly, I wonder if his vision is corrected improperly
I've wondered what's up with his vision at times myself. He doesn’t wear the glasses when he's pitching but he does when he's batting. That alone has to play some tricks on him I'd think.

Utah's SS just saved a run by dekeing Brunson. Idk why Brunson stopped running halfway to 2nd. We are not playing smart baseball early on today.
Because that ball should have been caught. The just blew it away from the left fielder. Truthfully, if the shortstop had gone 25 feet back instead of being cute and faking the throw he would have caught the ball.

It was the catcher who pointed it out. That’s why he didn't even chase the ball when it got free.
no Franco flat out pointed at his foot

it worked out since we actually got a hit with bases loaded and less than two outs - but he definitely was not situationally aware. But really he is not really ever that at the plate with that long, swing for the fences swing at every pitch and never shortening up. Its why the other teams know they just need to keep throwing off speed at him and he is not much of a threat - and it shows in his batting average.

It worked out. At least we got the run in. He could have stayed in the box and hit into a double play.
maybe - but we are hitting less than .200 with bases loaded and less than 2 outs - and getting hit cost us a run at that moment.

it was a low baseball IQ action - but as you said, we beat the odds with the next batter.

Everything that's at stake during the last weekend of conference play. Those Friday and Sunday losses against OK State are going to scheissing kill us.

we need to get at least one from WVU this weekend - the problem is Cinn plays Tech, who are terrible but they are playing for their lives to make the B12 tourney - so hopefully Tech brings it for once.

That double bye is our best shot at going deep given our lack of depth in the bullpen
