FORT WORTH, Texas – TCU senior Desmond Bane will take part in the Nike Skills Academy, held at the Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
Bane is one of 24 collegiate players to compete in the prestigious training session, which runs Wednesday through Friday. The academy features top high school and college players and includes on-court workouts led by elite instructors in front of scouts from nearly every NBA team, as well as games.
Bane was an All-Big 12 Second Team selection and member of the USBWA All-District VII team last season for the Horned Frogs. The Richmond, Ind., native is the leading returning scorer in the Big 12 after averaging 15.2 points per game last season, which were the most points by a TCU player in five seasons. Bane shot 50.2 percent from the field, the sixth-best in the Big 12.
