There is no more Lupton Magic. We have no confidence left. Can't get clutch hits. Can't get the outs when we need them.

When I think we started out ranked 7th-10th in the nation and beat Vandy and Arkansas back to back. We've have been mediocre ever since.

I know. scheissing leadoff walks in the 8th and 9th are what cost us the game. I've always hated when coaches pull pitchers when they're rolling. I said it during the game, should have left James in until he got in trouble or at least gave up a hit or a walk.
I mean, do we expect anything different from this coaching staff anymore? Saarloos was handed the keys to a Ferrari and turned it into a used Ford Focus with a busted wheel.

After we got swept by UCLA, I told my buddy that Loos must have made a deal with the devil for us to beat Arky. We went 15 up and 15 down to end that game and somehow held on to win. Then OU run ruled us. UTA put up 9 runs in the first inning and it's been pretty much a roller coaster ever since.

How many pitches James have? I missed when he came out.

2 monumental chokes on successive days. Arizona coach made Sarloss look like he was a Little Leaguer.
Didn't understand taking Zack out either considering his pitch count and effectiveness. Nevertheless, total fail by bullpen.

BUT, our hitting just sucks. 5 hits. Look at AZ hits and approach. Flip a soft liner into the outfield. Lay a bunt down. Runners in scoring position. Repeat.

BTW. Homeplate ump blew the swinging strike 3. Shouldn't have needed an appeal. So did 1B ump.

Arky has proven to not be that great either so it’s not quite the win we thought at the time

I have seen infields completely implode from multiple, consecutive errors trying to play bunt defense.
[ Finebaum ] we've done it in the past. We had arguably our best 2 hitters start off the 9th inning of the 2nd game and we went down without a fight, down by 1 run and we went 3 up and 3 down with 2 strikeouts.

Fire BM first. Take a pitch, WON’T bunt runners over but yet will TRY to bunt for a hit (what is the success rate of each), CAN NOT manufacture runs when opportunity presents itself, how many 300 plus average hitters are on this team. With the pitching staff they somehow assembled, hitting, including bunting is mandatory. No lead is safe.
Saarloos hiring BM back is a fireable offense on its own.
