GoFrogs: Another Record-Breaking Day for TCU Women's Golf

SAN MARCOS, Texas --
The No. 22 TCU women's golf team set a pair of program records, and freshman Caitlyn Macnab broke another TCU mark as play concluded Monday at the Jim West Challenge in San Marcos, Texas.

For the second consecutive day, TCU set a school record for single-round score with its 13-under-par 275. the Horned Frogs' 32-under 832 shattered their previous 54-hole mark of 843 set in this year's season opening Sam Golden Invitational. TCU finished in second place, just seven strokes behind No. 3 Oklahoma State.

Macnab, in just her third collegiate tournament, carded a 13-under 203 to break the TCU record of 204 set by Sabrina Iqbal at the Sam Golden Invitational. Macnab, from Johannesburg, South Africa, finished in second place, two shots behind medalist Caley McGinty of Oklahoma State.

"I am so proud of this team," TCU Head Women's Golf Coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin said. "This is our all-time favorite event with such strong competition. The team has been diligent these past couple of weeks with their putting simulation drills, wedges and routines. We all stayed present, positive and patient throughout the tournament. We had fun and believed."

Tracking The Horned Frogs
Macnab finished her record-breaking tournament with a final-round 71, including her second eagle. She has shot par or better in seven of nine rounds this season.

Sabrina Iqbal had four birdies and shot par on 14 holes for a 4-under 68. The senior from San Jose, Calif., has six sub-70 rounds in nine tournaments this fall. She tied for fourth at 9-under 207 for her third consecutive top-five finish this fall and 15th top-10 result in 32 career tournaments.

Lois Lau recorded a career-low 66, including four birdies and an eagle, to tie for seventh with a career-best 8-under 208. It was the third top-10 finish of her career.

Valeria Pacheco totaled three birdies and par on 14 holes en route to a final-round 70 and a tie for 29th at 1 over 217.

Caroline Jordaan posted three birdies in a five-hole stretch.
