Just now posting after getting back from a great time in the desert... of course, coming back w/ a bad cold bug that's making it's way around the fam hasn't been fun. Took most of us several days to get over.

Regardless though, I've read through all of the muffed punt stuff.

However, and this may have been posted, but to me, the biggest play of the game (and our worst mistake) was that pick that we threw w/ under 5 minutes left in the first half.... first & 10 at the MSU 36... up 13-0 with a chance to put them away. Huge error!

That completely brought them back to life.. they were almost cooked up to that point.

CP or no CP, we've got to grow up on O. If we do, we'll be the team to beat. If not, then we'll struggle in every game.

I deleted it as soon as it was over and I still have the Baylor loss from last year on my DVR. I was hammered though. Tried to pull it up the next day and it was gone.

Thanks allot!!! I had forgotten that I had set my DVR to record the game prior to leaving for AZ. Now that you reminded me, I will almost certainly have to watch it again. I can hear it now. It's already calling my name. I won't be able to stay away. It's like Josh Hamilton with booze and skanky waitresses, I won't be able to resist it.

every single TCU offensive play is run from the same shotgun formation, 4 or 5 wide, bring RB in motion to the backfield and run zone read or handoff, or throw. Against a top 5 defense...

no I formation, no pistol, no diamond formation, nothing we have seen from TCU offenses in the last few years. also no misdirection plays which are critical when facing a great defense

Same plays same formations same old same old, our offense is in dire need of some creativity.

at any level of football, pop warner, flag, intermurals have you ever seen a team run every single play out of the same formation? it happened Saturday in a bowl game that they had 3 plus weeks to prepare for. If the players can't learn more than 10 plays then TCU has serious issues with recruiting, if the coaches don't know how to coach more than 1 formation then the school is paying way to much for incompetence

I watched the game again, and saw a Frog team that was in almost complete control until the muffed punt. A lot like the UT game. Dawson leaves the punt alone and we are all talking about how bright the future is.

Best advice I can give is "Get Over It". Mistakes, bonehead plays, penalties, losing became an infectious disease this year. You can throw up every excuse there is, for every game we lost, but it is time to forget this season and move on.

Recruiting needs to get better, players need to perform, and for sure the coaching needs to improve, and I am sure it will. So, look out LSU and Big12 next year. These Frogs will be back.

My wife erased it for me last night. We seem to like to get a 2 score lead then coach goes into letting the defense hold that lead and nail bite win the game. Did you see how Oregon got the ball back after a missed K St field goal with 30 seconds left in the first half and marched right down and scored a touchdown? We would have taken a knee instead if trying to score. Our offense just hasn't seemed scoring minded all season.

Drives me crazy when there's a minute left in the half and our O seems to have no interest in moving the ball and putting more points on the board. If anything we need a change of attitude - I'd like to see our O focus on being a scoring machine. A$M didn't slow down last night against OK - we need to be more aggressive in putting points on the board.
