Benched for an ”anonymous” complaint.
What is that? A unsigned note left in someone’s mail box? A call from a burner phone?
C’mon- Given the dude’s history, and how badly Tarleton wants him to succeed, you really think this is him spitting on the sidewalk? No, but it shows what a short leash he’s on.

Couldn’t care less.C’mon- Given the dude’s history, and how badly Tarleton wants him to succeed, you really think this is him spitting on the sidewalk?
So, he has a well-established track record of being fired multiple times for abusing players (allegedly), despite on-court success. And your feeling is that if he’s engaging in that same behavior again, and one or more of his players don’t like it, they should be required to sign on for retaliation by him before they can complain. . . Yeah, that makes all the sense.Couldn’t care less.
If Tarleton has to keep him on such a short leash; then they shouldn’t have hired him in the first place…..and if you’re going to accuse someone, at least have a backbone and do it out in the open.
Gillispie is the tip of the iceberg….there’s the bigger problem of who/why hired him in the first place, and when will they ALL be fired??? Who hired an admitted substance abuser and chronic DUI offender (at a minimum) to coach kids?…and why?So, he has a well-established track record of being fired multiple times for abusing players (allegedly), despite on-court success. Which moronic college administrator(s) thought that Tarleton’s athletics program, which operates at a loss, was worth the headaches, financial risk to the University, and the potential personal risk to students??? ….and these morons even doubled-down to give Gillispie an extension for 2 years.
All this just so TSU can say they moved to D1 in a joke of a conference, (UAC forecasted payouts @ <$2m) and still lose money on a grander scale. This is all because the AD, Steve Uryasz, & Pres. Hurley can check a fat $$bonus box in their contracts. Total delusions of grandeur for personal reward.
Doubling the athletic budget to $45m and participating in rev. share. for only 19k avg. attendance is laughable.
At a minimum these people, plus Gillespie (who should’ve never been hired), should all be fired immediately.
The whole place is chocked full of idiots that will do anything or take any risk to fill up their resume’ and bank their bonuses.
It's awful that Stephenville football and soccer teams get to play in a nice facility.Wow, that is an abomination.
No matter what the sport. Kids travel basebal/basketball/football all the way to college sports, adults have taken sports for youngsters and made it about adult greed and exploitation.
Naming it after an exploitative [ Baylor accusations ] enabler sets a fine example. Enjoy! It's awful that Stephenville football and soccer teams get to play in a nice facilit
... and the roids were grade a quality ...Glad to see Coach Mike Copeland is being honor. He's a great guy. Say what you want what Art Briles has become when he was at Stephenville he was a helluva coach and an offensive mastermind.
That state championship team with Branndon Stewart at QB was one of the best in Texas High School history.
