would say again that a good part of this centers on the defense

offensively, when the group stayed in their lane, kept to the plan, they executed very well, and the worst part is that smu defensively did not force tcu out of that plan

self inflicted wounds and the worst part is gary has loaded his defensive staff with former players and guys he likes, but can they teach their position groups?

none of the front 6 looks well coached and their lack of technique is commonly mentioned elsewhere.
I would say though that the main problem with the offense staying in their lane as you put it, is that they are too often taking out of that lane by Meach and his ridiculous play calls that just end up killing drives and momentum.

Odds that Gary says some stupid [ #2020 ] about the defense really stepping up and stopping them on the last few drives of the game?

I’d pay some serious cash to a broadcaster who says, “We’d ordinarily go to the locker room for some comments from Head Coach Gary Patterson but since we found no evidence he coached anything at all these last two weeks we’re going to play Falco’s greatest hits instead.”
