We have plenty of money. But our AD is not ready to be an AD. Too many of the old guard wanted to keep things in a box. If you want to be big time, you gotta put up with and feed the ego of a champion level coach.
We were lucky in 2022. That team had leaders trained by Patterson. They willed to wins.

Did anyone get the feel it was going to be a long arse night when our brain dead coaches lined up for the sneak at that down and distance?
Once that call was made and the result it brought, I had little to no faith that we would win. I told the folks that I was with (who were a little confused at the scattered boos after that play) that we were in for a long night.

"Ah, it's too early in the game to say that." Etc, etc is what I heard back. It obviously wasn't. It's been a bunch of years since I had so little faith in TCU football and I hate that feeling.

Hey we're just 3-3. . .
A losing record since the Georgia beat down with one of the worst-ranked defenses and running offenses in football. Yeah, we're good. The SMU and Houston games just wasn't our day. Blowing a three-TD lead at home to UCF, it happens. No bowl game last year after playing in the championship game, oh well.

Thought process? At no point in this season or the last has this staff shown me they have a thought process. The only slight deviation to this trend has been Avalos' half time adjustments these past couple of weeks.

I agree. Davalos is far from perfect but with an offense that can't eat any clock and turns the ball over a lot, it's more than difficult to play tough defense.
