Hoover lobbed the ball so high, it makes me think the main intention of the play was actually to safely burn as many seconds off the clock as possible, it was just a happy accident that McAlister was so open.Well, most coaches would opt to kick a 38yd FG to put the game away in that situation. Unless they think their kicker is objectively not good. And if those are the only 2 options from that distance, nobody should be citing the possibility that a missed FG would give them good field position, bc going for it leaves just as likely (or greater) chances that the opponent will have good field position.
I guess I’m asking if our kicker really is so bad that we would rather always attempt to go for it on 4th down than kick a FG of 40yds
It was at Texas Tech on the tortilla flip catch by Aaron Green in the back of the endzone to win the game. I stood up and said, maybe a tad too loud, "Holy… I think he caught that!"What exactly is a Press Box warning? Did Nathan put you in timeout?
What did you do when you got the first one?

If Tommerdahl called for a directional kickoff after the unsportsmanlike conduction he might need to be let go.Hope Maniac has settled down some.View attachment 18082
With our current kicking situation it's hard to know what his intention was.If Tommerdahl called for a directional kickoff after the unsportsmanlike conduction he might need to be let go.
Just kick the ball straight down the field and not even risk the possibility of kicking it out of bounds.

Thank you for explaining that since @TxFrog1999 did not answer that part of my question. The press box is a working area.
You aren't suppose to cheer or yell.
A Texas Stadium if anyone cheered in the press box during a high school game, Phil the Director of Security who had a booming voice would announce.
"This is a working press box. No cheering or you will be asked to leave."
It was always one of my favorite parts of a game at Texas Stadium.
One day, there were four people decked out the gear supporting their team and they ignored Phil's warning. After about three loud outbursts Phil, who is around 6-4, 300, escorted them out of the press box and to a door that led to the seating area.
Yes, sorry I didn’t explain that part. The press box is a working area.

Just look at Deep Ellum.I have purposefully avoided that area after 10pm for about a decade now. It used to be a fun bar district when it was MML, Capital, Brownstone, Reservoir, and Landmark. But FW let that area get out of control to the point it’s beyond repair. But that’s what happens when you let area become overrun with Dallas bars.
It's ok lol. PurpleBlood did a good job.Yes, sorry I didn’t explain that part.
I miss when it was just Fred’s there. Once big Dallas “active adult” development took over, morphed towards soulless meh. Interesting that it’s advanced to regular shootout stage.I have purposefully avoided that area after 10pm for about a decade now.
