TCU shows fight in close loss to Baylor, but Frogs ‘not interested in moral victories’

By Brandon George Special to the Star-Telegram

The TCU women’s basketball team still hasn’t defeated Baylor in 30 years. But the Horned Frogs pushed the Bears to the brink Wednesday night at Schollmaier Arena.

TCU led going into the fourth quarter against No. 2 Baylor but couldn’t finish off the upset as the Bears pulled away down the stretch for a 66-57 victory.

Baylor (16-1, 5-0 Big 12) opened the fourth quarter on an 8-0 run to erase a 45-44 deficit, and TCU would get no closer than five points the rest of the way.

The ladies have a good team. Legit chance to finish top 3 in the league IMO.
They need a short memory now. Let that game go and focus on WVU who has always been a challenge. If we hold home court from here on out and go beat Tech they'll likely have the highest conference tourney seeding in program history and should be a lock for the NCAA tourney.

They deserve more support in the stands.

EDIT: RPI of 26, second only to Baylor in the B12

Not gonna [ hundin] on it, but there is no doubt officiating favors the "better" team in a case like this. There were enough questionable calls that could have swung this game, missed travel, a couple of offensive fouls on TCU that were bullcrap....
