I humbly submit that trolls thrive on attention, whether it be positive or negative. Often, it is the negative that they thrive on most. Regardless, in my experience, the most awful thing you can do to an attention junkie is to starve them of that attention. Let them shout their witless blather to the empty hills, unheard and unseen.

Was I supposed to type something here?
I like what I am hearing from the Spring camp, but it's nonsense. We have heard this fluff the last two Springs and our OL was crap the last two years, especially against good defenses. I will believe it when I see it in the fall. Period.

I am glad the new OC 's Honeymoon is going good, but it means nothing until I see it in a game.
While I agree with your assessment of "fluff" from the Media, there are glimmers of something more solid than simple fluff, with the OL being changed to an attacking mode rather than a see-and-react mode. I also note the New OC's previous record and his strong emphasis on OL execution, which is a most positive change.

Yet, as you say, "No battle plan survives contact with the enemy." We shall see...

I’m starting to sense we had a OC and Hoover problem last year. Much like the Hoover I’ve got at my house they sucked.
I know you're kind of joking, but Hoover did/does not suck. He can be a dazzling passer, but prone to Romo-esque mistakes with the ball, imo. I look forward to this season with the Craig Sammich and beyond.
Briles is somewhat similar to Hoover. Can be good, put up numbers, then make you wanna tear your hair out.

This.

Hoover was not perfect, far from it. But the fact is he was rated about the 10th best QB in the transfer portal (and the reigning king of college football coaching and evaluation apparently wanted him pretty bad), and the guy we got was ranked about 10 spots lower.

As for Briles, he too was far from perfect. But guys that aren't any good and/or don't know what they are doing generally don't get huge pay raises to leave.

I am hoping for the best, but firmly in the I'll see it when I believe it camp. I've witnessed offenses around here in the not too distant past that were far more inept than what Hoover and Briles gave us last year.

that's what I just couldn't figure on Briles. There were times when playes/schemes made perfect since and they were well excuted. Then it was like it just went crazy ivan. Maybe the times when things were rockin' were times when Sonny stepped in.

Both depend on what is available in the market being shopped. Recent years have seen top rated transfers show to be less the impressive.

Just wondering, anyone ever see Wex and Muck at the same time?

I really like your analogy, “a dazzling passer, but prone to Romo-esque mistakes with the ball”. That’s perfect.
Unfortunately the Romo-esque events occurred with great frequency in games versus .500 and above opponents.
