TCU men’s basketball lands former Allen standout from transfer portal​

TCU men’s basketball has landed another transfer portal commitment on Monday, and the new addition fills a big need for next year’s roster.

West Virginia forward DJ Thomas committed to the Horned Frogs on social media and joins a transfer class that includes Big West Freshman of the Year Gavin Sykes from Long Beach State.

Thomas is a 6-foot-9 forward who was a standout at Allen High School. In his freshman season at West Virginia, Thomas played in all 35 games, averaging 6.6 points and 2.1 rebounds while playing just over 16 minutes per game.
