FWST: TCU long jumper falls short in attempt to repeat NCAA outdoor title

Defending NCAA long jump champion Lorraine Ugen of TCU came up short in her bid to repeat Wednesday at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore.
Ugen, a junior from London, finished fourth in the finals, with a mark of 21 feet even. Jenna Prandini of Oregon won the national title with a leap of 21-6. Sha’Keela Saunders of Kentucky was second at 21-4 1/4 on her first jump and Kyle Price of UCLA was third with the same mark on her fifth attempt.
Ugen won the indoor national championship in March with a jump of 22-1. ...
