Possibly, but he has been promoted twice since returning to TCU (first to Co-DC then to DC after Cross left)

It’s been like 6 or 7 seasons since he came back...I’m guessing whatever you heard was either wrong or they worked it out.

I've met Sonny and his wife. They are great people and have two great boys. They love Fort Worth and I don't see him going anywhere for the foreseeable future.

Yeah Fuente would obviously would be a good hire, but I don’t see why he would leave VT for TCU if things are going well at VT. He’s not a TCU alumn and I don’t think he’s from the area.

He's not a VT alum either, and I would imagine it's more difficult to recruit there than it is here. They get a lot of the Newport News/DMV kids, but it's nothing close to what TX has to offer. He was born in Oklahoma, played at OU, spent a lot of time reasonably close to here. I bet we could at least match VT $ for $.

I wouldn't expect it to be a layup; I'm just saying he would be my #1 choice personally. But I imagine all this talk is at least 5 years premature.
