TCU football year in review: How should this season be viewed?​

With Saturday’s 45-23 win over Cincinnati, TCU football closed the regular season with an 8-4 record for the second straight year.

Things looked dicey for the Horned Frogs just a few weeks ago, as there was a real possibility of finishing 6-6 after a two-game losing streak to Iowa State and BYU. But TCU was able to rally behind head coach Sonny Dykes and end the year with wins over Houston and Cincinnati.

I really thought we would end 6- 6.
Glad for 8-4.
If not for the that disappointment of an OC, we might have been 10-2.

Well, Briles didn't turn the ball over, give up a 60 yard TD pass, or fail to cover a punt in the losses to ASU, KSU, and ISU. You could argue we would be 11-1 if not for a handful of mistakes.

We are better than last year. We had a tougher schedule than last year. I would not be unhappy if we had not given away the Iowa State game. Cut out the sloppy play at times, beef up the OL, and this team will continue to improve.

Yes and he also wasn't working with an O line of upper-tier Power 4 caliber.

KSU wasn't a handful of mistakes, it was a total ass whooping.

I think you should consider making a "year in review" video with the team taking a jet airliner across the true west Texas to get to Houston with the Pearl Jam song "Rear View Mirror" as the theme music.

Considering the schedule that we had and the supposed experience we had returning, 8-4 is a wild disappointment. It's not 5-7 bad, beating SMU, Baylor, and Houston is always nice, but it's below where we should be.
