Bettors couldn’t wait to get their money down on the TCU football team to beat SMU.

The Horned Frogs opened as 4.5-point favorites at Circa Sports in Las Vegas for Saturday’s 11 a.m. showdown with the Mustangs at Amon G. Carter Stadium.

A few hours later, TCU had risen to a 7-point favorite. The total — the combined points scored by both teams — had dropped to 63 after opening at 65.

Way over…the Frogs might put up 63 on their own.

I just saw the line on my sports book and I was hoping it was gonna go down. Didn’t realize it already went up.

I will settle for the over, and parlay it with the ML, whatever it closes at. TCU will win this.

For me,two things.
Survive the first quarter. Smew is always foaming at the mouth against the Frogs and may be almost more so this Saturday. NC kind of wore themselves out like we have seen so many times with the ponies.

Secondly and related with the first point is watch out for injury due to cheap shots. The ponies have seemed more disciplined the last few years though.

I re-watched the UNC game last night on the YouTubes (25 min condensed game video--there's really not that much football in a football game, is there?!).

Josh Hoover is good.

I don't like to count chickens because things can always go wrong. But if he's healthy, upright, and on the field, I have a har time imagining how he won't outscore Jennings even if our defense blows (which I don't expect).

Frogs by 90 three scores.
