FWST: TCU fade late vs. Texas, remains winless in Big 12

AUSTIN -- It wasn't the ideal situation, but if you're TCU coach Trent Johnson, you'll take what you can get.

TCU trailed Texas by nine points with 5:38 to play on Saturday, a deficit that could give most teams the hope of rallying for a victory. But McKinney's free-throw attempt missed. And Sheldon McClellan's jumper a minute later pushed the Longhorns' lead back to 11. Mini-crisis averted for Texas, which outscored TCU 8-2 in the final five minutes to pull away to a 60-43 victory in front of 7,314 in attendance at the Frank Erwin Center. ...

No. 2 Kansas comes here Wednesday. They lost yesterday at home to OSU. Self questioned his team's toughness and character. Should be fun.

I appreciate TJ's bluntness;

"We didn't shoot it very well," Johnson said, before quickly pointing out it has been a season long theme. "We haven't shot it well all year. [Texas] did a good job of sagging off our non-shooters, and we have a lot of them."

Yabbit, Drew is singing the Natty Anthy. Throwing the Frog sign at the end. Thats something to cheer for.

Get there early, embrace the atmosphere of a big college game. Watch all the pregame fun up until tip off. Then walk to the concession stand and order a bunch of goodies. Make the full DMC circuit before going back to your seat. It should be close to halftime. Enjoy the show. When the 2nd half tips off head to the john, with a periodical. Upon your return, it will be nearing game end, and you can clap for the boys, who likely tried their hardest. Great day at the game.
