TCU baseball shows off its pitching depth in sweeping Cal, improves to 10-1

The TCU baseball team couldn’t have scripted a better start to the season.
The Horned Frogs completed a three-game sweep of Cal on Sunday afternoon at Lupton Stadium, rolling to a 6-1 victory. TCU is now 8-0 at home this season.
Left-hander Russell Smith was terrific, allowing one unearned run with a career-high eight strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings. Relievers Marcelo Perez and Harrison Beethe closed it out with 2 2/3 scoreless innings.
