Weird thread

Our OL is not back on track unless being bad was the goal

Kas needs to move on - we got pushed around all night by a stronger Colorado team

And Tech seems to be getting their moneys worth - much more so than we ever have - they will be top 10 this week and close to top 5 potentially

They are in the drivers seat for the b12 title and a playoff birtth

Yes, weird thread on multiple levels. TCU has arguably the worst OL performance since 2020 and there are no comments here.... All day? At least 10% of this thread is filled with contradiction queens, projection whores and attention deprived puberty challenged adults.

Strange beyond the 5th dimension that your post today and what i commented on regarding our strength and conditioning program last Wednesday (Dykes we are maxed out) are the only 2 posts in the last couple weeks that mention Kazadi. During '22 & '23 Kas was all the rage. Most likely at least 100 media hits. This year and last year ?? pretty much nothing. What is going on in S & C?

Even Robert Griffin last night started to mention the poor play on the OL, particularly between the guards and then bit his tongue til it bled.

… and still eager.
Hondele El Trolleo and at least don't use an ISP that can trace you. Clown show deluxe. You prob hooked up with Lulu Roman from Heehaw eager one.

Some seriously demented people not wanting to discuss the problems with the HF OL.

I've not the slighted clue what you're talking about. I made a comment about the OL still being eager to get on track (since it obviously didn't happen last night- refer to the headline).

I've been on here since before 2007, yet you, the 2023 member, are calling me a troll? Talk about a clown show.

TCU’s offensive line eager to get back on track — or shake-up could be coming

Coming off of its worst performance of the year, TCU’s offensive line is eager for a bounce-back opportunity against Colorado at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Amon G. Carter Stadium.

The Horned Frogs allowed Josh Hoover to be sacked six times and only rushed for 10 yards in the 27-24 defeat to Arizona State.

It was a shocking performance by an offensive line that had performed well in the previous three games. So what went wrong against the Sun Devils?

We learned that our offensive line plays on highschool level and has for the last two games. Send them to portal and recruit junior college that want to play. No reason to allow all those sacks and hurry’s and our running backs can’t even leave their set positions.

I believe it was $28m on just players, but they also spent $240m on the Womble Center
(so players wouldn’t have to think about being in Lubbock). …..and they spent millions more on coaches and other upgrades.
I’m with you, after spending all that money, I‘d love to see the implosion if they fail to win the B12.
Unfortunately, their timing seems perfect and their schedule looks favorable.
I only see a couple games they have any possibility of losing.

Now, TT is already trying to parlay this into a Big10/SEC invite. Before they’ve won anything.

Wait. I don’t see the saddle trophy in that Tech video. That’s because it’s in Fort Worth in TCU’s Daniel Meier Complex.

Sooo! When is the shake up coming on the offensive line? Just asking per thread title. Who do you add? A switch for a defensive lineman or two to the offense? Just asking? The coaches have the power in the player position changes. The evaluation for players on the offensive side of the ball is atrocious! Lineman and running backs. Looking at you Briles!!!
Go Frogs!!

I’d be willing to try anything or anyone! Nothing would surprise me.
I could even see the old Leach Air Raid with the 3 foot wide linemen splits to spread the defense and create large gaps for inside runs.
If the coaches don’t find some new wrinkle or a couple new linemen don’t step up big; then I don’t see TCU winning either of our next 2 games.
Our OL without Hughes has such a drop off that our RBs will be hit almost as soon as they receive the ball and Hoover will be running to extend every pass play over 8 yards.
Harris replacing Hughes is a massive drop off, and BT-W was even worse than Harris last week. To top it off Bruno was really struggling, so coaches tried to get him some relief by splitting snaps with Strickland. Strickland was the lowest scoring lineman on the field Saturday, so they had sit him & go back to Bruno full time.
We’re in some real trouble here.

Colorado has the worst Run Defense in the Big12 and among the worst in FBS. Given the way they looked Saturday I think it's a stinging indictment on our offensive front, unfortunately.

I'm not sure where/when, but this team is gearing me up for a heartbreak at some point. I'm along for the ride.

We are not going to win the rest of our games, I can almost assure you of that. If that is the expectation, yes, be prepared to be disappointed. Based on the rest of the schedule I'd say 8-4 is probably the highest probability, and hope for better than that. I think every game will be almost a toss-up save for maybe the WVU game.

I just don't think we're good enough to get through the stretch of games ahead of us and not have a slip up or two. Were we to someone make it to the CFP, barring some vast improvements in certain areas, we'll get boat-raced in round 1.

I love the idea. Unfortunately we don’t have an off week until after the Oct. 25 roady to WV. Three games to go after that and hopefully a bowl. I don’t see how we can install that new of a scheme during a game week. I could be wrong.

My bad. I did not refer back to the headline and thought your eager statement was nexus to something else. Maybe you could have at least provided to some post in addition to "still eager" Misunderstanding which is easy to do on this thang. Your still eager post was very easily implicit, and I did not catch it.

CFP is an alluvial pipe dream at this point. I can't think of another year other than 2002 0r 2019 where the OL was as bad. Arguably, this OL is the worst it has been in a quarter century. I don't think it is all on the personnel. The personnel is at best mediocre. What the co-offensive coordinator Ricker is doing with these young men's careers is a crime. He should resign today. He'll find another gig paying more than you or me in short order.

Not sure on exactly what the rules are on NIL money, but there is this

and this

and this

so do I believe that Tech is spending a lot of money on the football team? Yep. And more power to Cody Campbell if he wants to pay up. His 4 billion could last a while. Poor Okie State T. Boone died a few years too early

The problem with your statement is that Sonny assured us during the offseason that he fixed the OL. He didn't. In fact, it is a spectacular failure, and our horrid OL will be the reason we don't make the playoffs. We are lucky to be 4-1 and should be better than 8-4 in the new Big 12 with our talented skill players and improved D. Now, it is going to be a struggle to get to 8 wins.

That is what you are missing with your 24/7 defense of our coaching staff. They said our young OL were going to step up and lead the way. They were wrong and it will cost us a playoff spot. Sonny and his staff make a boatload of money and they whiffed on the most important part of the roster. Worse, how are they going to fix this going forward?
