A team that finished sixth in the deepest league in college basketball should not rank last in attendance, but that’s what the Big 12’s box score reads.

After being picked to finish 10th in the 16-team Big 12, TCU was the biggest surprise in the league by finishing with an 11-7 conference record. Even though TCU lost on Thursday night to Kansas, 78-73, in the Big 12 Tournament quarterfinals, it will make the NCAA Tournament when the bracket is released Sunday afternoon.

How do our ticket prices compare? Whenever I consider going, I check the price and -- nah. Other consideration for me is the travel. But I wonder if locals' decision not to go to games are financial.

Was I supposed to type something here?
More +4 nonsense. If you, Mr. Priority Points Guy, aren't going to attend the game, why doesn't the Ticket Office/Athletics Department figure out a way to divvy those seats out to students or whoever lines up for them pre-game? At a certain time, they just start handing out passes with the seat numbers and fill the lower bowl with loud fans.

That's how I feel about games at Lupton. Reserved seats are supposed to be "sold out" but the good seats are usually pretty empty unless it's a marquee game or series. But I like my little perch out there on the right field berm, I have a great view of everything. It's just that damn walk to and from the bathroom and concession stands. There's been times where I've missed entire half innings making that trek.

I was at ( almost) every game. When not there I gave my seats to somebody that wanted to come. There were good season ticket seats near me that stayed empty all season. Our attendance at conference games was mostly good.
Same here. Had great seats around me that sat empty or had opposing fans in them all year.

Our uneven start to the season turned a lot of people off. We did get hot towards the end, but it was a little too late to get everyone enthused especially the students. I went to nearly every game. My wife went to most as well. My kids and grandkids would come if the game wasn't at 8:00 or if they had games of their own.

I know about half the seats around me are always opposing fans in conference games at least. Just don't understand why someone buys the tickets just to sell them to opposing fans. I doubt they are really making much money off it. Really wish we had a good home court advantage.

OTOH, TCU is quality over quantity. People always want us to apologize for not winning the big sausage contest with UT. We make no apologies!!

Well, muck, we have the lowest attendance because we have the smallest stadium. Mostly because the redesign was such a massive fail from start to finish that they’re now having to go back and literally redo the entire interior of the arena.
