FWST: Safety Innis Gaines likely lost for season

TCU has likely lost junior strong safety Innis Gaines for the rest of the season, coach Gary Patterson said on his radio show Thursday night. Gaines will certainly not be available for Saturday’s game against Oklahoma.
Gaines exited last Thursday’s game against Texas Tech in the second half, and was seen on the sidelines tending to his left leg. Patterson didn’t give an update during his news conference on Tuesday, but mentioned it during his weekly show with radio voice Brian Estridge.
“Innis Gaines is not going to play in this ballgame,” Patterson said on his show broadcast on 92.1 Hank FM. “He’s probably done for the season.”
