FWST: NCAA denies TCU QB Baldwin’s immediate eligibility request

The NCAA has denied TCU quarterback Matthew Baldwin’s waiver for immediate eligibility, according to sources.

TCU is expected to file an appeal on behalf of the Ohio State transfer this week.

NCAA transfer rules require student-athletes to sit out a season, if they haven’t graduated, unless they can prove “extenuating circumstances” as a reason to obtain waiver.

That should be ok. Let him fully recover from the surgery and prepare for next year. If we can' find an excellent starter from Collins, Rogers, Delton and Duggan, then the addition of Baldwin won't mean anything. The problem won't be offensive talent.

FWIW, saw that Shawn Robinson's request at Mizzou was denied. Maybe TCU is on double-secret probation with those guys in Indy.
