Seems like we had lots of optimism/momentum starting the year. What a waste.Salvage??? Not even close. But it would give us some much needed optimism/momentum going forward. Especially if it was followed by a bowl win.
Username checks out.
I got it straight from the dictionary.
Sorry, I was replying to the OP's question. You, sir, are completely correct, whilst I was merely trying to emulate Brevity Frog...I got it straight from the dictionary.
If they keep playing like they have since the Red River Shootout and the Frogs play like they did last week I like our chances. We're not beating OU.
That’s not your old avatar bud. Explain ??Heck yes it would salvage the season. 6-6 hopefully 7-6 with 4 close losses and decent returning production will give a fair amount of momentum into next year. We’d be a popular bounce back candidate and probably at the top 4 in preseason polls. Would be an easy sell in recruiting too- “tough year, a little unlucky but persevered through tough times and still on track”.
Pretty hard to FORCE any coach into such ideas. There will be NO firings this year. (pretty good source)Shock the Boomers & go win the bowl game. 7-6 ain’t great, but ending the season with a winning record & 3 wins in a row can build momentum for 2024.
The reason why so many Frog fans want us to flame out in Norman & get embarrassed on Black Friday is they believe that will force Sonny to fire his OC & DC. I hate to break it to everyone but we could lose 50-0 & nothing is going to change. Sonny - just like GP - is not going to fire his buddies.
Improvement?Pretty hard to FORCE any coach into such ideas. There will be NO firings this year. (pretty good source)
Esp if they're showing improvement and are.
Yeah, beating arguably the worst team in the conference is the barometer for what it takes to beat OU.If they keep playing like they have since the Red River Shootout and the Frogs play like they did last week I like our chances.
Plus second half against Texas. Also Cincy is the worst this season.Yeah, beating arguably the worst team in the conference is the barometer for what it takes to beat OU.
And we didn’t, and we won’t.OU is as beatable as UT was.
