Former TCU running back leads Arizona Cardinals in win over Dallas Cowboys​

Emari Demercado had the second-highest rushing total of his NFL career in the Arizona Cardinals’ 27-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Monday at AT&T Stadium.

The game was a homecoming of sorts for the California native, who spent five seasons with TCU and was a member of the vaunted 2022 Horned Frogs team that reached the national championship game.

Demercado ran 14 times Monday for 79 yards — two yards short of his career high — in his first game back from an ankle injury. It was his heaviest workload of the season by far; he hadn’t carried more than three times in a game this season.

Me too. He’s a really solid player, I think at this point he’s got a place in the league for another few years at least. Which means he’s set financially.

He must have been tackled for a loss on his last carry. He had 13 carries for 83 yards when I posted during the game last night.

IIRC, that was RG3 with the amazing mispronunciation. In all fairness, he was very familiar with Derrick McAdoo, a former Baylor teammate. I suspect that was the source of that memorable malaprop.

I think he was in the booth for that game but it was Mark Jones, the pxp guy, who kept messing it up.
