Final day of open practice for TCU football marred by turnovers​

TCU football is officially moving into the next stage of the preseason, with Tuesday kicking off game-planning for North Carolina in the season opener Aug. 29 in Ireland.

That means practice will be closed to the media except for individual position drills at the beginning of practice.

On Monday, the media got to watch another full-padded practice, and it was a turnover-marred performance by the offense after a shaky showing in Saturday’s scrimmage at Amon G. Carter Stadium.

The defense had four interceptions and a forced fumble throughout various team drills, leaving offensive coordinator Gordon Sammis disappointed at the conclusion of practice.

Certainly doesn’t sound good but in those types of drills not sure it means a lot.

Time for the team to hone in on the season and the opener.
