  1. Droughts over! TCU finally puts it together on road to upset No. 17 Iowa State

AMES, Iowa – A couple droughts are over for TCU. Finally.

The Frogs have won a Big 12 road game this season. And they’ve beat a ranked opponent in a true road game for the first time in 21 years.

TCU had its best offensive game in almost a month, and outlasted the Big 12’s top-scoring offense en route to a 92-83 victory over No. 17 Iowa State on Saturday afternoon at Hilton Coliseum. Earlier in the day, Iowa State had been picked as a four-seed in the NCAA Tournament by the Division I Men’s Basketball Committee.

  2. First road win over a ranked team in 21 years is kinda hard to believe.
  3. Agree, but a good reminder for some of us about low the program has been for a long time and to try and appreciate where we are now and where we're hopefully going.

  4. Yes it is.

It just goes to show us how far our program had fallen since Billy Ball and what Jamies had done in such a short time to rectify it.

Obviously this is just 1 game, but it may portend what could be coming in the days and weeks ahead; ARob assuming a Fisher type of roll where he can run, dish, spot up, and be a scorer and let Davis be the point. Just how many times has ARob crossed the mid-court, dribble up to the 3 pt. area and top of the key, get double teamed and trapped, lose the ball, and then commits the foul. A new roll, while keeping him in the game, may prove fruitful going forward.

It will be interesting to see if Jamie uses the above approach against Kansas.
  5. Things could improve dramatically with five of our remaining eight games being played at the Schollmaier.

Particularly, since we already have victories over our three remaining road opponents.
  6. Coach said after the OKC game that they needed a buzzer beater game and may give this team a spark. I questioned that when he said it but we saw a different team yesterday! Keep it up guys and be consistent in the right way!
