Former Houston coach Dana Holgorsen is leaving the TCU football program to become an offensive analyst for Nebraska.

ESPN national insider Pete Thamel first announced the news Tuesday morning and Horned Frogs head coach Sonny Dykes confirmed the report at his weekly press conference. Holgorsen served as an offensive analyst for TCU and joined the program in the spring after being fired by Houston last season.

Dykes said Holgorsen’s departure wasn’t a surprise.

Didn't NEBRASKA fire a guy for a DWI and now he's on our staff? They might want to rethink Holgerson. He hits the bottle hard as well.

Maybe he wanted to be involved with the offense rather than just assisting with the defensive gameplans?

Either way.... best of luck, Coach. Wish you had been our OC this year.

If you are thinking of Solich, that was not when he was in Lincoln. His firing was dumb and was more about boosters pushing the panic button after those two final seasons he had there. Now folks look back and realize what a big mistake it was.
Back in his prime, Solich was a great coach. He had a great record there. And had gotten to the national title game. and in his final year, the Huskers were actually rebounding. I think they had a 9 win season.

Then he had a strong run at Ohio. But it was at Ohio where he got the DUI. And the case was really an odd one. It is possible his drink was tampered with. They ran the test and it revealed GHB in his system.
