Comedian Jeff Foxworthy takes shot at TCU football’s defense on ESPN

BY DREW DAVISON

What does TCU’s defense and Larry the Cable Guy’s underwear have in common?

Well, according to comedian Jeff Foxworthy, both have plenty of holes.

In fact, “TCU’s defense has more holes than Larry the Cable Guy’s underwear,” Foxworthy said on ESPN’s College GameDay as he served as the guest picker on ESPN’s College GameDay on Saturday.

I watched CGD this morning and Foxworthy did not say “TCU’s defense has more holes….” He said “TCU has more holes….”

Seriously, how hard is it to get the quote right?

Yeah, I say a hole is kind. Running by yourself towards or in the endzone is more of a layup or free-throw. A hole takes skill to fit through.

Interesting how media keeps referring to Gary as a " Defensive Guru" when in fact his record has been around 500 for several seasons now.

Kind of like a lot of people on here think he deserves a lifetime pass on scrutiny based on what he "used to be".

Yes, Chris repeatedly said he's not coaching defense to his old standards. Oh, but he is. This has been the standard for years now.

Need a deep pass? Put your top WR in the slot and he'll be covered by the LB for a crossing route and a safety if he wants to go deep. It's the same every week, so don't worry about your plan not working. Worried that the LB is some awesome stud? No worries, not only is 25 slow, he can't shed a block or tackle either...let alone keep up with your top WR.
