FWST: Casey Pachall's return to TCU is a win-win for everyone

By [big steaming pile]

Casey Pachall did not address his teammates upon his return Sunday afternoon to TCU for the first team meeting of 2013.

Do not expect a news conference or anything announcing anything.

TCU plans to try to keep things around Pachall as quiet as possible for as long as possible. They want for him to just be a student, and to work out with his teammates, who are thrilled he is back.

According to one member of the TCU football team, whose eligibility just expired: "Casey's cool. He was just dumb. He's not an alcoholic. He's a college kid. College kids drink." ...

GP and TCU fumbled the situation in August when it was revealed Pachall had admitted to police back in February that he failed a test for weed and once tried a little Ecstasy.

They didn't suspend him then because they didn't have to, but the message was weak.

More brilliance from [big steaming pile]. Adolescent drug usage apparently doesn't disqualify a person from the most important job in the word (see B. H. Obama) but this idiot thinks it should disqualify a kid from playing football for his college team. By this brilliant logic I guess we should suspend BHO from the Presidency (I wish) even though 'we don't have to'.

He was in favor of punishment, not disqualification from playing for his college football team. People try so hard to hate Mack, but here he is saying he believes in Casey and people are still going to rip him.

Good column. There. I said it.

Leave it to Mac to find a player that sounds a fool. "Casey's not an alcoholic, we were all out that night, all college kids do it." Who was that, Tanner Brock?

It's up to Casey and his doctors to determine if he has a problem. If he does he needs to be kept away from the "teammates" like this guy.

"We were all out that night"...Maybe not the most assuring part of that quote...but glad he's back and hopefully he can fit right in and the team can keep things quiet around him.

Thought it was a good column as well.

I get the feeling that Patterson is trying to reel him in a little bit. Keep your enemies closer type of situation.

Managed to get in a little repartee at our OL

(whether his offensive line gets him killed is another matter)

Lots of luck Casey. You're going to probably set the record for the whirlpool time next year.
