After Dublin setback, pressure mounts on TCU’s new offensive coordinator and QB

DUBLIN – TCU’s season opener against North Carolina was supposed to have been a coming-out party for the Horned Frogs’ new offense and quarterback on an international stage.
Instead, the Horned Frogs fell to UNC 15-10, joined a growing list of teams that entered the Aer Lingus Classic in Dublin with plenty of hype only to endure what could be a season-defining loss.
Kansas State (2025), Florida State (2024) and Nebraska (2022) all entered the classic with high expectations, high-profile quarterbacks and high probability of winning, according to oddsmakers. Each of those teams lost and saw their seasons immediately plummet.
