Yeah pretty sure that's the longest homer I've seen at the Lup.
I think it was last year, against Southern Miss, one of their guys hit one on the top of the berm out there by me in right field. It almost hit the fence that goes along Berry.

Edit- it was Fresno St not Southern Miss. I had took a pic of the area where the ball landed.

@bmoney214 - I remember someone hitting one that went bouncing across the street but it was more down the right field line. Stro hitting the iron fence beyond right center would seem like a longer shot.
EDIT: After review, the ball hit off a tree, not the iron fence. Still think that's the longest homer.

3:40 mark. Both shots are absolute bombs. The Fresno State one and the one Stros hit tonight.

A BYU player hit a ball off the fence I bounded into the street. It was launched.

The first year of the new park our shirtsop hit one that landed in the parking lot past left field. Longest I remember. Matt Carpenter hit one over the scoreboard against UNM in the conference tournament in like 2008.

Keith Conlon hit one against Vermont that hasn't landed yet. Despite her chemo treatments, my mom came out for a couple of innings and saw that monster shot.

Reminds me of a great story involving Kent Hrbek (who was a pretty funny guy and is still remembered for the Ron Gant play).

In the early days of the Metrodome a ball was hit straight up into the stratosphere. It never came down; the umpires figured it went into a roof panel and got stuck. While they're staring upward, Hrbek gets a ball from the dugout, slams it into his mitt and shows it to an ump, claiming to have caught it.

LOL
