CB commit Ranthony Texada going up against OSU WR commit Fred Ross.

So far I think Texada got beat for a Ross TD. But Texada blocked a FG, and tackled the guy who recovered. Also has 2 really nice kick off returns, one 75 yards.

How big is Texada? Isn't he a smaller, quick guy like Verrett?

5'9, 165- I believe. Insane speed and has quick turn of hips.

I am not watching the game, so I cannot be sure, but I assume that Texada would be lining up opposite of Ross.

Ross just scored his 2nd TD of the night....I just can't verify if either was against Texada.

Ross had a big night, it was just against a Centennial zone defense. Texada never man him up - they kept both of their corners in a deep 3rd and played it safe. In turn, the Centennial linebackers and safeties were no match for Ross. I would have been nice to see Texada and his counterpart Calvin man up Tylers top two receivers all night, that is the matchup we wanted to see but didn't get and I think it cost Centennial the game - along with 3 interceptions from their QB because Tyler did man up.
