Going to the game this Friday with the kids. Apart from Dutch's (which is awesome) what are some pre game places to visit? We are heading to Ft. Worth for lunch and then the game. Thanks
The Hispanic Alumni Alliance is throwing a huge tailgate. We will have mariachi’s, good food, and there will be a car show near by.Going to the game this Friday with the kids. Damn I glad you mentioned that. Paschal is going to have limited parking available since its on a Friday.FYI, if you park at Alice Carlson the lot will not open until 4:30. My son goes to Alice Carlson and it's going to be a mess when school lets out. I really wish this was taken into consideration when the powers that be made this a Friday game. Can't remember any of our weekday games starting this early. Even a 7 PM kick would make a difference.
ESPN doesn't give a [ Finebaum ]. They are filling their slate. I am sure TCU athletics would rather it have a Saturday game.FYI, if you park at Alice Carlson the lot will not open until 4:30. Buffalo Bros. is better IMHO.Going to the game this Friday with the kids. Apart from Dutch's (which is awesome) what are some pre game places to visit? We are heading to Ft. Worth for lunch and then the game. Thanks
ESPN would rather have less people at the stadium watching the game so they could be watching the game on TV. Then someone like Stephen A Smith can come back and say TCU does not have much of a fan base since the stadium is not close to being full.ESPN doesn't give a [ Finebaum ]. scheiss Stephen A Smith. The A stands for [ Arschloch]…ESPN would rather have less people at the stadium watching the game so they could be watching the game on TV. Isn't it the conference office which makes the conference schedule? If so, then who in the headquarters even knows where Alice Carlson is, much less what she does....Early kickoff allows for Friday games in MWC and PAC to be played and broadcast at a more accommodating coastal hour....FYI, if you park at Alice Carlson the lot will not open until 4:30. Agree. Fridays and especially early Friday kicks are rough. Hard for everyone to get there pregame, let alone by game time. Some have conflicts with HS games. HS recruits can't watchI really don’t like games on Friday as much as anybody. It really sucks for out of town fans. With that being said, if the game is on Friday ( or any other day in the middle of the week), the kickoff needs to be at 7:30pm. That would be a lot easier for people coming in from out of town as well as dealing with traffic and parking issues.
I’ve always have been under the understanding that the TV partners control the conference schedule and kickoff times. As far kickoff times are concerned for Friday or any week night game, it would be advantageous for TV to schedule Mountain and Pacific times zone games earlier in zone games earlier so they can get maximum viewership at a less late hour in the more populated Eastern time zone.Isn't it the conference office which makes the conference schedule? Main point here.Let's get another W

Good news is that it does help us get a game on ESPN.

Didn't know this....we should have some recruits then or at least they can watch. That's good.Luckily. close to half of schools are on a bye or don't play on Friday this week.
That used to be stenciled on the playing field at Fresno State when we were in the WAC, IIRC....Main point here.
Wasn't it - "Any team, any time, any place" as a challenge to others.
Or am I wrong ?
